BYRON RAY WIDMAN
We dedicate this 1953-1954 Annual to Byron Ray Wid-
man, who was fatally injured near Fremont, Nebraska, on
September 28, 1953.
Byron was president of the Sophomore Class and was
a very popular lad in High School. He had a cheerful, pleas-
ant disposition, and greeted everyone with a smile. He was
highly esteemed by all of his classmates.
Byron spent his boyhood days at the farm home north-
east of Mead. He was a member of the Marietta Dairy
Hustlers and Future Farmers of America and was very
much interested in all of their activities.
We reverently dedicate this yearbook as a memorial
to Byron, who was suddenly taken from our midst just
when he was beginning to be a useful citizen.
