It was a calm night, October 30, as the
Mead football players came out onto the
field to test their skills against the power-
ful Cedar Bluffs team. The first half wasn't
too bad as half time rolled around.
It was now time to announce the King
and Queen for 1968. The 2nd attendants
were announced to be Diann Treptow and
Rhonda and Rag The Senior poster
Jim Rieckman. While boarding their car
pose for a picture for Homecoming
Georgia Hageman and Randy Hutmacher
were announced as 1st attendants. The
crowd now grew more tense as Roger, Nelson
and Rhonda Hanson were announced as the
new 1968 King and Queen.
The game now presumed with the final
score: Mead - 0 and Cedar - 63. The
dance now began with the Peace Corps from
Lincoln as entertainment. Twelve-thirty
crept up as everyone left with a great feel-
ing of a night's enjoyment.
The king and queen Mr. Volin gives Rag and
have the first dance. Rhonda a ride they'll
never forget!
