Our Town

In the first act the author outlined the history of
our town , which is Grover 's Corners, New Hampshire
and something of the character of the citizens . Then
he carried you into the Gibbs and Webb families .

The second act concerns the love affair between
young George Gibbs and Emily Webb , ending in a
moving wedding scene.

In the third act we were led to the cemetery on Stage Manager and Mr . Webb .
the hill , where many of the townspeople we have
come to know so well were patiently and smilingly
a1vaiting , not "judgement , " but greater understand -
ing.
