Football

The Mead Raiders football team had a 1-5-2 record for
1978. The highlight of the season was the Mead/ Yutan
~ame. Mead scored every quarter holding Yutan to one
ouchdown in the fourth quarter. The final score was 26-6
tvith Mead as the victors. The most disheartening game of
he season for the players and fans was a Homecoming loss
against East Butler 0-3.
With 8 returning lettermen, next year looks promising for
he Raiders. om
