This yea r students of Mead Hi~h School crea ted memories for the
2013-2014 track sea son. This year ma ny persona l records were broken.
In a ddition to breakin~ records, this year at Districts, students rose up
to the challen~e a nd broke two school records. Sophomore K aitlynn
Hunt broke both records for both Lon~ jump and the 200. K aitlynn
jumped a distance of 17'10" and ran a record breakin~ 26.6 seconds.
Imprintin~ another school memory, six students qualified for State
Track. Senior Billy Mayer qualified for Hi~h Jump with a record of
6'2", senior M a ddy Ny~ren qualified in the 400 and 1600 Meter Relay,
junior LaurenT aylor qualified in the 1600 Meter Relay alon~ with
sophomore Mar~aret Johnson. K aitlynn Hunt qualified in the Lon~
Jump, 200, and the 1600 Meter Relay. L a st but not least, Alex ~uinn,
a sophomore, qualified in the 3200 Meter Run at 11;06.
