CLASS HI STORY
It was the first Monday in September in the year of 1952
that our submarine took off under the command of Miss Mar-
garet Rood with .lQ_seaborne children aboard. They are:
Janet Nelson, Paul Svoboda, Bob Swanson, Bob Seburger, Jerry
Weber, George Nygren, Henry Lee, JoAnn Redia, Jim Sayers,
and Deanna Buesing. In the second semester Jackie Barta
joined our crew. George Wilson also joined us on our second
trip making us a crew of 12 members. We were still under
the command of Miss Rood.
Our next journey was under a new commander, Mrs.
Dalphia Carlson. We were now a crew of 10 members as
George Wilson and JoAnn Reida were transferred to another
submarine and Kaye Johnson was promoted to our third grade
class.
On our fourth trip our new commander was Mrs. Ralph
Hageman, who took over the controls. Our crew now con-
sisted of 10 members. George Nygren and Henry Lee left
us and Diane Hall joined our crew.
During the next year the submarine was lost.
On our sixth voyage Mrs. Crystal Anderson was our new
commander. The crew numbered 1l. with Kathie Pool, Gary
Wilson, and Micky Duncan joining us. We lost Diane Hall
and Jerry Weber.
Our seventh trip was under the command of Mrs. Ben
Widman. Mary Updike, Diane Stange, and Steve Hollst
joined us on the trip, making us a crew of..ll.members.
Our next voyage, our crew, under Mrs. Lucille Hoeven,
numbered 17. Beverley Hansen, Pat Long, Martha Maly, Linda
Lipsys, and Diane Becker, joined us in this drive. Jerry Weber
also rejoined us.
On our ninth trip, we e.Dtered high school. Our crew
enlarged to 11. members, with Jim Langemeier, Darrel Charles,
Richard Goodding, Boyd Hageman, and Deanna Hanson joining
us. George Nygren also rejoined the class.
On the tenth voyage, Ken Peterson, and Sandy Wine joined
us, and Bob Seburger and Gary Wilson left us making our crew
still number 21.
The eleventh trip and juniors at last, started out with a
crew numbering 20. George Wilson rejoined our class, and
PATRICIA LONG
Sandy Wine and Jerry Weber left our submarine on this journey,
George Wilson left in the latter part of the trip. The high-
lights of this year were our Junior, Class Play, "Ever Since Eve"
and the junior-senior picnic.
