Marching Band

                                              A SHARP WOKING GROUP

Both the marching and concert bands were kept very busy this year. When the new school year started
so did marching band. This group marched for the football games and also at Pershing Auditorium in Lin-
coln. This was the first time the band had ever marched at Pershing and we hope that this becomes a tradi -
            tion at MHS.
The concert band then opened with the starting of the basketball season. This group performed at the
conference clinic, contests, and the winter and summer concerts.
The ratings were as follows for MHS at the contests this year held at Westside: Band - 3; Small Band
Groups - 2,3; Voice Solos - 2,3; Singing Groups - 2,3; and Girls Glee - 1; The Mead School can be very
proud of its music department and reflect back on the many memories made here in 1969.
