Raiderettes Have A Good Season
The Mead Girl 's Track team placed second in
the district and sent 4 girls to state . Freshmen Lau-
rie Nygren and Karen Johnson , Sophomore Kathy
Johnson, and Junior Rhonda Carden made the trip to
the State Meet. Laurie Nygren placed second in the
Class D 880 yard run. Her time was 2:36 . 8 . Kathy
Johnson placed fourth in the Class D 440 with a time
of 64 .3. As a team Mead scored six points which
Kathy and Jan compare ideas before competing in
put them in a tie for 9th place in the Class D State
their events .
