The Mead Raiderettes ended the year
with one of che best season records they've
had since che start of girls basketball. The
girls goc off co a slow stare with a 4-4 record
going into the Christmas vacation. Mead
had a 9-4 record going into the Conference
Tournament. In the first round Mead
blasted Cedar Bluffs 58-30, and in the se-
cond round Mead defeated Bennington 47-
43 and in the Championship game they
outlasted East Butler in the final seconds to
win the EC C Tournament with a score of
25-24. Mead ended their regular season with
a winning record of 14-4 and headed into
the District Tournament. In the first round
Mead whipped Logan View 54-37, and
downed David City High 43-31 in the se-
cond round. In the Championship game
Mead held on co their 3rd victory over East
Butler, dumping them 44-38. Mead then
traveled co Columbus Scotus, to challenge
Cedar Rapids, in the regional playoff game,
but ended up losing in overtime by the
score of 45-49. Raideretces ended their
season with a 17-5 winning record. CON-
