"Almost Paradise" was the theme chosen for Homecoming this year.
Each of the classes decorated a hall to help get spirit in the school.
Many students participated in the dress-up days during the week.
Each day a different costume was worn. Monday - no school,
Tuesday -Punk Rock day. Wednesday- come as you are, Thursday
-Backwards day, and Friday was Red and White day. On Friday the
big pep rally to get the guys ready for their football game, was held
in the gym. It began with a parade of floats which were made by
classes and school organizations. Winners were: Best Theme - Chorus,
Most Original - 4th grade. Most unusual - 1st grade, and the
Champion float was made by the 6th grade. Routines were
performed by the cheerleaders. skits were presented. and the award
for the best decorated hall was announced. The winner was the class
of 87. The students from the elementary school were at the pep
rally and participated in the float parade and chants. The pep band
played the fight song just before everyone went home.
