The Lady Raiders began 2-a-day
practices Aug. 18 under the leadership of
Coach Marvin and Asst. Coach Weiss. The
first game was a blow to their initial plan,
however, the next 8 games proved to be
successful for the Lady Raiders. During
the Mead lnv. they played Lincoln Chris-
tian, even though defeated, hopes were
not shattered because they played an
excellent game.The next 8 games were
stepping stones to their next goal- the
State Tournaments. Defeating Clarkson
at the Dist. finals; they were on the road
trip to their goal.
At the State Tournament, their goal
was short-lived as the Lady Raiders
didn't play their usually intense game.
Even though defeated by Osceola, there
were rewards throughout the season.-
Some of these honors were: 1st TEAM
ECNC ALL CONFERENCE: KRIS HASS, RONDA
TREPTOW, & LISA NYGREN; 2ND TEAM:
LEANNE GUSTAFSON; 1ST TEAM ALL AREA:
LISA NYGREN, & KRIS HASS; 2ND TEAM:
RONDA TREPTOW; HONORABLE MEN-
TION: LEANNE GUSTAFSON; HONORABLE
MENTION ALL STATE: LISA NYGREN AND
KRIS HASS. RECORD 17-3
