The Mead Lady Raider basketball team
started out the season playing Louisville, with
Form ? Swish for 2 a 64-49 win. The next four were on the downhill
side as the Lady Raiders rebuilt their season.
The Lady Raiders season started to improve as

games were on the winning side with a most ex-

ing them 41-40. The most exciting win of the
season came when the Lady Raiders defeated
Waterloo 52-35 in the District playoffs, after los-
ing to them twice in the regular season. The
Lady Raiders played a tough defensive game
against rated Shelby in Districts, almost winning
a trip to State, until being defeated in the final
seconds. With only 12 girls on the team the Lady
Raiders ended the season with a 14-8 record.
Out of 8 letter winners 7 will be returning next
year.
