Raider Football 1992

The Mead Raiders started off the
1992 season a little shaky with
two disappointing losses. The
Raiders then got on track by
defeating Walthill 34-0. Next for
the Raiders was Brownell-Talbot.
The game was tied until 18 sec-
onds left when Stuart Nadgwick
scored the game winning touch-
down. Up next were the Water-
loo Panthers. The Raiders took
control early and stomped the
previously ranked Panthers 42-
21. The Raiders then suffered
two losses which took them out
of the play-off race. The Raiders
then ended the season by defeat-
ing Cedar Bluffs and Omaha
Christian Academy. A high point
of the season for the team was
winning the ECNC Conference

Fick, John Hanson, Willy Wischmann, David Ellison, Coach Craig Schnitzler with 1138 yards rushing and 151
yards receiving. Stuart also
scored 15 touchdowns. Justin
Moline was the leading passer
with 309 yards. Warren Fick led
the defense with 129 total tack-
les. Stuart Nadgwick led the
defensive backs by grabbing 7
interceptions and breaking up 5
passes. Nick Nicola led the team
with 5 quarterback sacks.
A number of Raiders earned
post -season honors in 1992. Stu-
art Nadgwick- All-State defensive
back, All-Area defensive back,
All-Conference running back,
defensive back, and punter.
Kevin Gibson Another touchdown for Stuart.
Dustin Hutmacher- All-Area
defensive tackle and All-Confer-
ence defensive tackle. Nick Nick-
ola - All-Conference running
back. Kevin Gibson - All-Confer-
ence defensive tackle. Willy Wis-
chmann - All-Conference guard.
