There were 15 girls on the Lady
Raider team that posted an 11
13 record. Their record reflected
the competitive ness of their
schedule, which pitted the Lady
Raiders against larger schools.
The Lady Raiders' sub .500 sea-
son can be credited to the lack of
experience and depth of the
team. The highlight of the season
was beating the Wahoo Lady
Warriors in a close game 13-15,
16-14, 15-12; the win was cap-
tured after Kelly Couch strategi-
cally tipped the ball to an unde-
fend ed a rea . Ceda r Bluffs
became a thorn in the Lady
Raiders' side as they lost four
games to the Wildcats. The Lady
Raiders will be losing Seniors
Kelly Couch and Holly Lange-
meier, who were key hitters,
blockers, and servers. Junior
Shannon Hoover was a valuable
asset to the team as she led the
Lady Raiders in ace hits, and
blocks. Kelly Couch and Shan-
non Hoover received special
honors: Kelly Couch was second
team All-Conference; Shannon
Hoover was first team All-Con-
ference, Wahoo paper All-Area,
