M ead High School Honors ight
was held Tuesday, May 12, in the
school gym. The event show-
cased the academic and artistic awards
and honor received by students through-
out the 1997-98 school year. A sizable Honors Night
crowd of parents, relatives, and students
looked on as MHS faculty members rec-
ognized a total of 113 students for out-
standing achievement in academics and
Fine Arts.
The evening's program included the
induction of new National Honor Society
members. This year, four students met
the requirements to become members of
National Honor Society: sophomores
Adam Miller and Paul Thorson, and
juniors Sarah Brown and Regan Else.
Kevin Rasmussen, Nikki Hannan, Chris Gustafson, Darsey Moline, Shawn Havelka,
Kayla Thorson, Shahdad Amirfathi and Bretl Malchow receive certificates.
Mr. Miller thanks Mr. Haag for his 34 years of hard work
and service to FFA.
