The Mead Senior I Iigh Choir performed exquisitely this
year, despite a drop in membership and a change in direc-
tors. It was Denys Shafer's first year a choir and band
director at Mead.
The choir participated in District Music Contest on
April 24. It proved to be a positive experience for the stu-
dents.
In addition to DMC, the choir participated in several
concerts and community activities. They performed at the
Chri unas and Spring concerts, which were open to the
public. Choir members showcased their talents at the Pops
Concert, which featured a Disney theme. Members also
volunteered their free time to carol at the Wahoo Care
Center for the elderly people.
ECNC honor Choir was held in Waterloo this year. Dan
Bontrager, Sarah Brown, Karrie Marburger, Rocky Dens-
berger, Mandi Thompson, and Shane Mapes were all
selected to participate.
