Sneak takes senio,.s to Rocky ountains
The Rocky Mountains presented new challenges to seniors this year.
With some heading for the slopes, few taking ski school. and some
dropping out of ski school to hit the slopes, the seniors
experienced a fast paced trip to the bottom of a moun-
tain while skiing at Silver Creek in Colorado.
For Jenny Feeney and many others this was their first
time skiing. As Jenny flew past the senior boys, she be-
gan to lose control. With her poles being flung behind
her, and her skies getting stuck in the snow, Jenny tumbled
head over heels until her boot actually came off and knocked
the wind out of her.
"Aside from the pain, I couldn't help but laugh at myself
with the guys,'' said Jenny.
Skiing was not the only excitement: the time spent at the
hotel brought splashing good fun.
After skiing. Dave and Dave decided to relax near the pool out-
side. Soon realizing that they were missing out, they both jumped
in. Dave Baltz, trying to win the attention of others, did a somer-
sault- with clothes on- making a splash for everyone to see.
"People laughed at us because they could see steam coming off of us
as we ran back to the hotel in our wet clothes,'' said David Rasmussen.
