The vocal groups of Mead High swung into
action at the beginning of the school year
by working out their vocal cord! and ready-
ing themselves for contest at Ber:nington
in April. The results of contest were proof
of the hard work. Four superiors were earn-
ed by duet, Eileen and Audrey Pick; Sex-
tette; Triple Trio and Girls Glee.
The Vocal department provided music for
many special school occasions: the Mother-
Daughter Tea, Spring Concert, Style Show,
Open House, Baccalaureate and Commence-
ment.
The soloists and small groups attended the
Husker 5 Solo and Ensemble Clinic at
Cedar. Jeanette Nelson and Marcia Zica-
foose attended the Sight Music Reading
Clinic at Wesleyan University.
