ELECTED

On April 1-3 fourteen people
attended the FHA State Con-
vention. These people were
chosen to go because their
SEARCH project received top
gold and advanced to state
competition or they had been
elected as officers for our local
FHA organization.

On Monday SEARCH events
were given. Kim Mckay received
a bronze medal for her informa-
tive speech. LeAnne Gustafson,
Leticia Martimes, and Sheri Hud-
dle, received a gold medal for
their project in Food and Nutri-
tion. Diane Gustafson, Roger
Conrad. Holly Svoboda, and
Traci Nelson also received a
gold medal for their project in
Housing and Home Furnishings.

The SEARCH participants then
attended a luncheon where
they received their medals for
SEARCH. In the afternoon, inter-
est sessions were attended by
everyone. For supper. our Dis-
trict, which is District Ill, ate at
Valentino's. Then the Awards
Session was attended where
Deane Gustafson found out that
she had been elected as the
State Officer to represent Dis-
trict Ill.

On Wednesday morning,
leadership sessions were attend-
ed. In the afternoon, everyone
attended the District Ill meeting,
for the election of officers and
other business. Traci Nelson ran
for and was elected to be a
district officer. After this every-
one attended the Closing Ses-
sion which ended the 1984-1985
FHA State Convention.
