CONCERT BAND

PERFORMS AT

WORLDS OF

FUN

The Mead High School Concert Band
departed for Kansas City, Missouri at
6:30 Saturday morning on April 15. The
parents who were sponsors on the trip
were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Edins, Mr. and
Mrs. James Ellison, Mrs. Doug Gustaf-
son, and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Randell.
The music boosters provided the band
members with doughnuts, rolls, and
juice for breakfast. The band arrived
at Worlds of Fun around 11 :00 a .m.
They performed at 1:50 p.m. in the
Haunted Theater located in the park.
The band members were very disap-
pointed when they found out the park
was to close at 6:00 instead of 10:00.
Despite the early departure, the band
members enjoyed themselves and
had a good time. Miss Tarleton
announced on the bus that our band
received a 3. On the way home, the
band stopped for dinner at Wyatts
cafeteria in St. Joseph. The band
returned to Mead around 12:30 a .m.
Sunday morning.
