FFA  - CALENDAR OF EVENTS
       1988
       MAY- Officers and advisor attended chapter Officer Leader-
       ship  training conference at Aurora Ne.
       JUNE- Members selected and identified animals for fair and                       FFA
       shows.  Craig  Witte attended "Washington Conference Pro-
      gram" for FFA  leaders.
       JULY- Chapter sold food at the "Ag Expo"
       Craig Witte attended Nebr. Ag.  Youth Institute. Valerie Wil-
       liams attended "PEAK' Leadership  Conference at Aurora.
       Mr. Phil Miller attended the Nebr.  VoAg Association confer-
       ence at Ogallala  Ne.
       AUGUST- Several members showed animals or projects at
       the County Fair.  Mr. Phil Miller attended the Nebr.  Voca-
       tional Conference at Kearney.
       SEPTEMBER- Several  members showed  livestock,  crops,
       and AgMech projects at the State Fair.  The Freshman AgEd
       class took a field trip to the State Fair. Craig Witte participat-
       ed in  the State Tractor Driving Contest
       at the State Fair.
       OCTOBER- Mr.  & Mrs.  Phil Miller,  Craig  Witte,  and Jay
       Hanson  attended the  National FFA  Convention  in  Kansas
       City, MO.  AgEd students attended Land Judging Contest at
       Norris High  School.  The FFA  Alumni spaghetti supper was
       held to  finance  the  Washington  Scholarship Program.  The
       FFA sponsored a pumpkin decorating contest for elementary
       students.
       NOVEMBER- Successfully conducted our annual fruit sales.
       DECEMBER- Participated in the District FFA  Leadership
       at Waverly. Conducted a raffle for donations to the Saunders
       County Food Pantry.  "GREENHANDS"(new members) ini-
       tiated.

       ed in  ''Rural Knowledge  Bowr~ competition.
       FEBRUARY-Students worked on applications for individual
       and Chapter awards. Chapter served breakfast to faculty and
       staff before a Parent Teacher Conference.
       MARCH- Students won  five  1st place plaques at the AgEd
       contest at Beatrice. Chapter built signs for "Trees for Mead"
       APRIL- Jodie Asper & Craig  Witte received the State FFA
       Degree.  Name changed to FFA.  Valerie  Williams attented a
       Farm Bureau Citizenship & Safety Seminar at Aurora Nebr.
       New  Officers  were  elected.  Lisa  Nygren  was  the  featured
       speaker at the FFA-FHA  banquet.
       MAY- The 89-90 officers and advisor Mr. Phil Miller depart-
       ed for  Leadership camp in  Aurora Ne.
