The Raider Boys and Girls Track team had one of
its best seasons ever. They competed well in several
track meets and the boys even finished runner up at
some of them, including Districts. The girls track
team increased membership once again and scored
far better than they have in the past.
The Conference Track Meet was hosted by Mead

first in the high jump.
Several athletes qualified for the State Track Meet:
Dan Bontrager, 100, 4xl00; Nick Thorson, 200,
4x100, Regan Else, 4x800; Joey Kokesh, 4xl00,
4x800; Aaron Nelson, 4x100, 4x800; Paul Thorson,
110 meter hurdles; and Lynsey Moline, 300 meter
hurdles. Dan finished fifth in the 100 meter dash, the
4x100 meter relay team finished third, and the 4x800
meter relay finished fifth.
The Boys Track Team set 6 new school records this
year. Dan Bontrager broke the 100 meter dash
record and Nick Thorson broke the 200 meter dash
record. Both Nick and Dan also broke the 60 yard
dash record. Other records were broken by the
4x100 meter relay team, which consisted of Aaron
Nelson, Nick Thorson, Joey Kokesh, and Dan Bon-
trager; and the 4x400 and 4x800 meter relay teams,
both ofwhich consisted of Regan Else,Joey Kokesh,
Aaron Nelson, and Shawn Havelka. The Girls Track
team also set a school record in the 4x800 meter
relay. The team consisted of Lynsey Moline, Penny
Couch, Ann eke Gustafson, and Lindsay Robertson.
