Bill Anderson is a 1978 Hordville Bulldog graduate and class valedictorian. He graduated from Doane College in 1982 with a Bachelor’s of Arts
Degree in Business Administration. Bill was assistant coach for the 1992 Polk-Hordville Boy’s Basketball team, which qualified for the State
Tournament.
Bill ended his basketball career 36th on the all-time state scoring list with 1,676 points and a scoring average of 27 points per game. He was 2nd
leading scorer in Nebraska in 1977 and 1978, and number 1 in Class D each year. In 1978 Bill was 1st Team All-State, second team all-state in

1977, and 1st Team CRC All-Conference in 1976, 1977, 1978. The 1978 Hordville Bulldog Basketball Team was the 1 team in school history to
win the CRC Tournament. Bill continued his basketball career at Doane College where he lettered all four years.

In 1976, Bill was named to the 2nd Team Crossroads Conference All Conference football team as a quarterback. In 1977, Bill was 1 team All-
State in football, with 1,035 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns. Also in 1977, he was named 1st team CRC, All-Conference Back. He had 62 career
touchdowns for the Hordville Bulldogs.
Bill was a 3-year State track qualifier in the long jump and relays, 1977 CRC Long Jump Champion, and a member of school record 880 and mile
relay teams that finished 4th in State in1978. Bill had an 8 and 1 record as a pitcher on the Central City Midget American Legion 1976 Class B
State Championship baseball team.

• Hordville Village Board member and chairman
• Hordville Volunteer Fire Department
• Lifetime member of the Fridhem Lutheran Church, past council chairman and mentor
• Past chairman and Board member of the Hamilton Community Foundation Board
• Member, past chairman and board member for the Valley View Country Club
• Volunteers to work weddings at the Hordville Event Center, and delivers the Grand Island newspaper in Hordville
Bill and his wife Tina have two children Rob and Melissa. Melissa is married to John Coburn and they have one child, Evan
