District ''2'' Basketball Champions
The Mead Raiderettes finished the season with a
15-6 record, ending the season with a loss to Omaha
Cathedral in Class C regional competition. The
1982-83 team compiled some impressive statistics
with the most team points scored in a season (974),
most team rebounds in a season (264) and the best
free throw percentage in a season (54%). Perhaps a
more important team stat is that the Mead girls
averaged 46.6 points per game, during the winning
season and limited the opposition to 42.4 points.
Sophomore Anita Luetkenhaus had the most assists
in the season with 70 and Senior Cynthia Ellison was
second with an average of four assists per game.
Luetkenhaus also took team honors with the best free
throw percentage of any member of the Mead team
with a 66 percent success rate. Senior Lori
Langemeier had the second best record in school
history for the most points scored in a season with

' ' game. Freshman Staci Hass holds the school record
I knew that we could do it - yea! for the second highest number of rebounds in a game
with 22 and has the school highest total rebounds in a
season with 246. Three team members were named
to the ECNC All Conference team, with Langemeier
