RAIDER A IT/TUDE
The Raiders were looking for another great season and seeking once again a trip to
the state tournament. The Raiders" first challenge was against a tough Waterloo team.
The Raiders played a great game, but ended up losing by one. This showed them they
were going to have to work hard to have a winning season.
The next game the Raiders really wanted was against the Yutan Chieftains. The
Raiders played badly and scored only 48 total points, losing bY 2 I points.
The Raiders went into the E.CNC tournament with an 8-5 record. In the first round
they faced an over-rated Malcom Clippers team: they played a great game winning
58-54. The Raiders went into the finals against the Tecumsah Indians. The Raiders
played well, but ended short handed, losing by 7.
After the E.CNC tournament the Raiders went 2-2. They ended the regular with a
record of I 1-8. Playing E.ast Butler in the first round of sub-districts was going to be a
tough challenge; the Raiders won 71-57. The sub-district final put them up against
their rival, Waterloo. This gave the Raiders a chance to avenge an early season one
point loss. The Raiders did just that, winning the game 63-58. In the district final game.
the Raiders beat 5E. Consolidated and was state bound .
