Gaining experience, an increase in practice time, and school
competition highlight the junior high sports program. For the
seventh grade athletes, who are used to practices being on a H
saturday afternoon and lasting no longer than a half hour, ad-

For the eighth graders, on the other hand, preparing for high
school sports seems to be on the top of the list because they have
s
already had a year to adjust to the practices after school. "Junior
high sports teaches me the basics and lets me know what I need
p
to improve on," said eighth grader Ally Selko.
Whether staying after school or gaining experience, the sev-
enth and eight grade athletes prepare themselves for what's ahead 0
of them.
