National Honor Society
Students who display exceptional academic ability and strong
personal character have the chance to belong to National Honor
Society. To qualify, stu-
dents must be in tenth, elev-
enth, ortwelfth grade, and
must have a grade-point
average above 92%. If these
qualifications are met, the
students are submitted to
the faculty, who votes on
those to be in- ducted. In ad-
dition to cur- rent members,

Speech
This year the speech team participated in district and confer-
ence contests. The team had
individuals competing in
several cat- egories in-
eluding hu- morous
prose, poetry, serious
prose, and in- formative.
Each member had to write
and present their own
s p e e c h e s . Overall, the
speech team was given an
excellent rat- ing in all ar-
eas. Although the speech team only competed in two con-
tests, they learned a number of skills that will help them in
the future.
